Happy Birthday Miles!!!
It's so hard to believe that Miles has already turned one! One year ago the events surrounding his birth were: we moved to Austin, Roy started a new job, we attempted to finish unpacking the remaining boxes and I had been sick and dehydrated for a week amidst the August Texas heat... whew! What a year! Happy Birthday Miles! We love you!
Mmmmm...Chocolate cake!!

A Special Message From Daddy
Today is a very special day for you! It's a day full of joy, energy,
and life. It is also a special day for your mommy and I. Today our
lives were changed forever in a matter of seconds. The moment we heard
your screams and felt your tiny hands, we vowed to always love,
nuture, and protect you. As your daddy, I can't think of a single
moment where my life has been more valuable than 2 years ago today. I
am forever changed for the better because of you two. You make my
heart smile!
As I reflect over the past year I am so excited about how you've grown
and developed. I watched you speak words not only from the mouth, but
also from your heart to one another, your little brother, mommy and
me. I've watched you sleep peacefully and drift into pure innocence.
I've seen you jump as high as you can as if you could reach the sky.
Never stop dreaming my little girls! You can always jump regardless of
what's above you. I have listened to your carefree laughter at night
when you were supposed to be sleeping (you two share an inaudible
language).
God blessed you both with great hospitable personalities (you get that
from your mommy). Annalisa, you are my adventurous one and little
clown. Your positive attitude and zealous heart makes me smile and
laugh. Malea, you are my "proceed with caution" nurturer. You like to
make sure everyone is ok and comfortable. I love that about you! Your
affection and mother-like character brings me joy.
May God continue to bless your talents, grant you good health, and
create a heart for Him and others around you for many years to come!
Happy Birthday Annalisa and Malea!

Milton SPEEDWAY!!!
Our latest adventure after dinner is to race around the kitchen just like the big guys in TXMotorspeedway.
Miles loves to join in and zoom past Malea and Annalisa. If you'll watch closely, you'll catch a glimpse of his stubby little legs kicking as he smiles from ear to ear!

Tough Guy
7 months overdue
So, 7 months...I'll just say things are great, we're having fun living in our own little circus!
I just wanted to include 2 quick stories I found rather humorous...
The other day mom and I had the kids at Nordstrom's. Annalisa and Malea each had balloons that were tied to their snack cup. Well, on our way out, they realized if they drag their snack cup on the ground it makes a funny noise...so off they went. They both took off running, holding hands, laughing hysterically through Nordstrom's while mom was running after them and carrying Miles and I was running after all of them trying to maneuver a double and single stroller! It was rather comical!
The next night I was getting everybody ready for their bath. It had been a long day already. I had taken everybody's clothes off, including their diapers, and I went into the bathroom to check on the water. When I realized Miles wasn't behind me, I went back to his room where I found him finger painting in a pile of poop...sitting in it, poop all over his legs and hands, and oh yes, his hands were in his mouth...lovely!
Here are a few somewhat recent pictures:
